First, Hubbie was off work on Friday~always a good day to spend together. And since we homeschool, the kids got to enjoy lots of "Daddy time" as well! ;)
Then, we were preparing for a big birthday party! My little niece and my youngest daughter were born five days apart. So, we had a joint birthday party for the girls---at GRANDMA'S HOUSE! It was a lot of fun and I think everyone had a great time!
Here are a few pictures of the celebration. I enjoyed making the birthday banners. I was inspired by a banner I saw on Shannon's blog. Of course, I had to make it mine, but I think they turned out great! After uploading these to the blog, I am not sure that you can really see how they turned out. :( But, the first pennant said Happy 1st Birthday, then I spelled out the girl's names, then the last pennant said Happy 1st Birthday!
Our weekend ended with a wonderful church service on Sunday--honoring our veterans. What a blessing to live in the USA! We honored a patriot who had fought in WW II--William "Bill" Patterson. What an inspiration!
Have a great Monday!
