The Creation Museum~Part 1

Today, I am so thankful that we had the opportunity to visit the Creation Museum. What an uplifting, inspiring, faith-affirming, God-honoring place! I honestly did not know what to expect, but was pleasantly surprised. It was so nice to go to a science museum and have the truth presented in such a beautiful way!

The entire museum is based on God's Word. Here are just a few pictures from our visit. The museum is in Petersburg, Kentucky, just southwest of Cincinnati, Ohio. We had a very nice visit, and hope to return there very soon!

Home Again, Home Again...

~for Monday, July 26, 2010~

Outside my window~
the sun is shining beautifully, and the temperatures are
so much cooler than yesterday! :)

I am hearing~
a Thomas movie

I am thinking~
about "R" who went to church camp for the week

I am thankful~
for my sweet Hubbie and children

I am remembering~
the excitement (and some teary eyes) of the kids this morning

I am reading~
not too much...
that summer wish list of mine hasn't even been touched!

I am hoping~
that the Lord will speak to "R" this week

On my mind~
"R"...can you tell? Boy, do I miss that girl!

From the learning rooms~
things are relatively quiet

Noticing that~
July is almost over, which means school planning must get finished

Wondering~
where has the summer gone?

I am creating~
last night I finished up a pair of culottes for "R" to take
with her to camp

Pondering these words~
"Do all things without complaining..."

From the kitchen~
nothing much, since we've been away for
almost two weeks! It has been fun to try new
restaurants, though! :)

Around the house~
is the huge stack of mail that has accumulated
in the last two weeks...

One of my favorite things~
is going on vacation with my precious family and
creating new memories with them

A few plans for the rest of the week~
a little putt-putt golf later today,
a friend comes over tomorrow,
church on Wednesday, and some
redecorating on Thursday and Friday
"R" comes home on Friday

Hopefully later this week, I'll be able to show you some of our vacation pictures...
Thanks for stopping by today!

Remembering...

Isaiah 55:8-9

For my thoughts are not your thoughts,
neither are your ways my ways,
saith the LORD.

For as the heavens are higher than the earth,
so are my ways higher than your ways,
and my thoughts than your thoughts.

Jeremiah 29:11~
For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD,
thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.

This morning, I'm remembering my nephew, Darrell. Five years ago today, Darrell, 14, went home to Heaven, far sooner than any of us ever dreamed he would. While our hearts still hurt, and while we still sometimes wonder what God is doing, we know that he is with Jesus~not because he was a good boy, not because his parents had surrendered to go to the mission field, not because he was kind, and not because he loved his family...

Darrell is in Heaven today because he
knew Jesus as his personal Savior!

Do you know where you would go if you died today?

Just for you, William and Bev~
We love you and are praying for you!

Around the House~Summer edition :)

I love to decorate our home with seasonal things, and Hubbie doesn't mind a bit! I have probably mentioned that a time or two on this blog! :) Using things I already own is fun...but when someone gives me a decoration, it is so enjoyable to me to find the "perfect spot" for it! When I decorate for Memorial Day and Fourth of July, I usually leave those things out until Labor Day. Here are just a few pictures from around our home this summer...Enjoy!
