Sunflowers

Today, for Thankful Thursday, I am thankful for beautiful sunflowers. I love how they look in my kitchen, but, even more, I love the lessons they teach me!
  • Just as a sunflower points its face to the sun, so I must purposely, intentionally, keep my face (and heart) toward THE SON!

  • When the growing season is over, the sunflower has many seeds that others can glean from (birds and people enjoy them), so...

  • My "seeds" are like my thoughts, actions, and words...and I must make sure they are pleasing to Christ.
  • I am sure there are many more lessons to be learned from this flower, but these are some things that I am working on and thinking about today. I hope that you have a great Thursday.

I am a sunflower girl too. I love them! I had never quite thought of them in the sense that you brought to light though. How beautiful is that! We all need to remember to face towards the Son! Thanks for sharing that.

We have beautiful sunshine here today...the birds are singing...maybe spring is right around the corner.

      Have a beautiful Friday!

Wow! That was beautiful. I may have to use this as an object lesson for my kids!

And you have planted seeds...so many encouraging seeds in my heart!

      Have a great weekend, Donna!
