Summer Flowers

These plants are in our front flower beds. I was first introduced to "Vinca" a few years ago. They are hardy and withstand the summer heat (so much better than impatiens). In fact, we rarely purchase any other kind of plant for our flower beds...These flowers are pretty right now, but they will soon be gone...
and the flower beds will be ready for fall planting.

As I look at these beauties, I'm reminded of the following verse:

Isaiah 40:8 The grass withereth, the flower fadeth:
but the word of our God shall stand for ever.

Have a great Wednesday!

That verse also reminds me of our lawn…. As it surely did “withereth” from what it was in June!

I am thankful that no matter heat, cold, rain, snow, hurricane, or anything else that may come, “God shall stand for ever.”

I hope you have a great day!

Love,
“Hubbie”

What beautiful flowers! They remind me of the ones my grandmother planted in her front yard when I was a kid.

Thanks for the kind comment you left on my blog this morning! I hope the rest of your week is wonderful!

I also meant to add that Isaiah 40:8 is one of my favorite verses as well!

Those are beautiful! Brought a smile to my heart this morning. My flower bed looks so unmanaged right now. I may have to look into these to add some much needed color!

Pretty flowers! I've had vinca before. They like a little more sun than impatiens and I have lots of shade, so the impatiens usually wins out. But I like the dark leaves on vinca and the way they stand so proud!

Very lovely... Flowers around the house always make it look so much more cheerful! I don't think we've ever had vinca before, but they are beautiful! :-)
