This past Thursday, we were blessed to receive tickets for box office seats at a local horse show. Yes, box office seats! It was really nice! My oldest daughter loves anything and everything about horses...so, needless to say, she enjoyed the evening.
I had never been to a horse show before, so I wasn't sure what to expect. There was not a sell-out crowd, but the jumps were decorated so beautifully! There was a set course for the first competition, and then some terrier races (very cute!). The final part of the evening was when the contestants dressed in their costumes and competed for points based on the jumps that they and their horse were able to complete. You can see the point values in some of the pictures. Superwoman, Captain Hook, a pirate on the high seas, and others joined us that night! :)
Here are just a few highlights from our adventure...we had a nice evening together!

Should I go for it or not? This was a bonus jump worth 200 points if the horse made it over the fence without knocking off any rails...minus 200 if he didn't make it...

Oh, I would have been in heaven. I love equestrian events. I used to have horses but once I grew up I didn't have time for doing much with them and sold them. My dream is to one day have more. Thanks for sharing.
