Happy Monday

~For today, Monday, May 3, 2010~

Outside my window~
the skies are cloudy and gray, rain is falling, but the temps are comfortable

I am hearing~
the coffee pot brew my morning coffee

I am thinking~
about some friends who are traveling later this week

I am thankful~
for a wonderful church, and a great man of God as our pastor

I am remembering~
visiting my grandparents (Dad's side) and at the time we weren't required to wear seat belts. While we were traveling, my brother and sister and I would lay down in the back of the station wagon and look at the stars.

I am reading~
my Bible~and so thankful I have a copy of my own

I am hoping~
that some family plans come through

On my mind~
is a list of things I want to get accomplished today :)

From the learning rooms~
school is winding down (16 days left!) WOO HOO!

Noticing that~
my attitude affects my family~therefore, I must guard that influence very carefully

I am creating~
(with a friend) a game for our mother/daughter luncheon

Pondering these words~
"Grieve not the Holy Spirit of God."~Ephesians 4:30

From the kitchen~
Monday~mozzarella chicken (moved from a day last week)
the rest of the week has not been planned yet :)

Around the house~
are some things that need to find their home

One of my favorite things~
are memories of family times...and I love my Hubbie's kisses!

A few plans for the rest of the week~
school every day
Wednesday~church
Friday~decorating the church gym
Saturday~Mother/daughter luncheon

From my picture journal~
Not my fence, but it sure is pretty!

I'll be linking up to The Simple Woman's Daybook tomorrow. Please hop over there if you want to join or read other daybooks. I hope you have a great Monday!

No Seatbelts?? How old are you....What were your parents thinking! Kidding, I remember also.

I Love the reverse of your "favorite" things.

Enjoy your day!

Love,
"Hubbie"

I remember when we didn't have to use seatbelts. And also riding in the back of my dad's pickup on the part that went over the wheel. What were my parents thinking=)? I would have a heartattack if my kids did that. Times were so different back then.

Have a good school week, Donna. Look forward to seeing pictures from that luncheon.

Oh I remember that riding and looking at the stars too! :) What a sweet memory for me.

I am so glad that someone is going to finish school at a reasonable time!!! :) You all must be elated. Good for you for trudging through when it was easier to loaf!!

I love that picture!! How peaceful!

I also remember when I was a kid and seatbelts weren't required! The cars were much bigger then and I could fit on the floor of the back seat! I would lay there and read or look up at the sky while we traveled. My brother and sister would be sitting on the big bench seat above me. Fun times!

Ahh, the good old days before seatbelts ... I remember sitting next to my Daddy and working the stick shift for him. I also remember riding in the back of a pick-up truck home from school many days ... I thought it was great then, but wouldn't think of letting my kids do it now!

The picture of the fence is beautiful. I love a good church. We also have a good one. I hope you have fun at the luncheon. I remember those days. I don't know how little ones survived. They would just be all over the car. I hope you have a great week, Doylene
