What a precious, memorable weekend our family had! Even though the majority of the family was sick, we still had a good time together.
After the kids went to bed on Saturday night, the kitchen table was changed! A Valentine tablecloth, new placemats~flower ones for the girls and a dump truck for the young man~Valentine glasses, plates, and napkins. What a surprise for them when they came downstairs on Sunday morning! We made them a heart cake with their first initial on it. You can see the R, D, and S. They loved it!
Hubbie cooked dinner~was it ever delicious!?! (I LOVE when he cooks!)
NY strip (marinated two ways)
Chicken lump cakes (similar to a crabcake)~delicious!
Succotash
Twice-baked potatoes
Yeast rolls
Iced Tea
Me and my Sweetheart!

These beautiful tulips were my gift on Friday night...

When I went downstairs on Saturday morning, a dozen "Fire & Ice" roses were sitting on the coffee table in the living room...aren't they beautiful? We then had breakfast out~one of my favorite things to do~at Bob Evans.

When I was finished getting ready for church on Sunday morning, this beautiful, long-stemmed red rose was laying on my side of the bed, along with a huge bag of Bath & Body lotions, spray, bubble bath, and shower gel! Let me tell you~
I. was. spoiled. (And I loved every minute of it!)
I have had a lot of fun looking at these pictures. I just love the last one~you can actually "see" the velvety-ness of the petals...I hope you've enjoyed your visit here today.

I certainly enjoyed my visit, Donna. I rejoiced to hear how you love is celebrated in your home.
More blessings to you!
Donna, It sounds like you had a wonderful Valentine's Day! I'm glad you stopped by my blog this morning because it reminded me that I was wanting to let you know about a change I'm making in my blogging. I have decided that I am going to merge the posts from Word From The Father into my Defined Life blog. I started that blog last month, but I feel disconnected and like I'm compartmentalizing my life by having that separate one. I am going to keep my photo blog, but sometime this week I will take down the WFTF blog. I will post about it later, but I wanted you to know. Thanks for following me! The posts that I would have put on WFTF will now be posted on Defined life so hopefully you won't notice too big of a difference. Anyway, more later. Have a great day!
Oh, you were spoiled! I love all the pictures and the beautiful picture of you! And thanks for posting the picture of those roses...stunning!
I just noticed I am not on your follower list. What's up with that...=). I check on you so often, that I guess I forgot to put you on my Goggle Reader...definitely will change that!
Have a great day, Donna. Love seeing pieces of your life!
Wow!! Sounds like you had a fabulous Valentine's weekend! Isn't it such a wonderful blessing when your beloved surprises you with things like that? I hope you enjoyed your special time together! Blessings! :-)
Beautiful flowers! A wonderful dinner! Bath and Body! Wow, you were spoiled but you deserve it. What a sweet thing to do to decorate your table for children...I bet they will remember it always.
Oh yes, the bagels are so good...I think the best I have ever had...
Have a blessed day,
Joyce Marie
