Thank you, sweet bloggy friends, for all the kind birthday wishes you left for me on Friday! I felt very special and very loved! You helped make my day incredible!
Also, a HUGE thank you to my sweet Hubbie, for all your thoughtfulness. :) I love you!
For Monday, April 26, 2010~
Outside my window~cloudy, rainy, around 55 degrees
I am hearing~the chatter of family members :)
I am thinking~about how special I felt on Friday!
I am thankful~for sweet friends and family who love me
I am remembering~the surprise I felt when I opened my blog on Friday morning and saw the most wonderful birthday gift from my Hubbie and how many birthday wishes I got on the blog and on Facebook
I am reading~my Bible, a flower book, and sales papers
I am hoping~that my folks have a safe trip down to our house today
On my mind~is Ruby (my friend, Diane's mom)
From the learning rooms~polygons, quadrilaterals, Yikes! The beginning of Algebra in fourth grade?!?!?
Noticing that~the dining room is almost clutter-free :)
Pondering these words~
"God is always good, and God is always right!" ~Evangelist John Bishop
From the kitchen~
Monday~out to eat with my parents for my birthday
Tuesday~cheeseburgers, salad
Wednesday~BBQ chicken, mac-n-cheese, lima beans
Thursday~pizza noodle casserole, salad
Friday~taco bowls
Saturday~spaghetti
Around the house~I need to get some cleaning done today. I was hoping to do some yard work this morning, but it is raining...so I guess that's my cue to get busy indoors! :) Well, after I get this post published...
One of my favorite things~is watching grandparents with their grandkids
A few plans for the rest of the week~not very busy this week, except Wednesday, when I am planning to go to a curriculum sale (It's hard to believe that it's already time to purchase for next school year!)
From my picture journal~some memories from my birthday
Out for early dinner at The Cheesecake Factory~and yes, that is Orange Chicken :)
Our server and some of his coworkers singing to me
Birthday cheesecake
Snickers Cheesecake (I shared with Hubbie)
My goodness, I was spoiled! ;) and loved every minute of it!
After church on Friday night, we had this ice cream cake from Cold Stone Creamery (and Hubbie did use a coupon for the cake)
Chocolate cake with chocolate peanut butter ice cream, topped with Reese's peanut butter cups
Again, thank you so much for all the sweet birthday wishes. This is one birthday I won't forget!
I hope you had a great weekend, and that you have a blessed week ahead!
I will be linking up to The Simple Woman's Daybook on Tuesday. Hop on over there if you would like to read other Daybooks.

Wow! What a fabulous birthday celebration!
so nice! :) That cake looked scrumptiously delicious!! :) yummmmmmm Thanks for sharing your birthday celebration with us!
Wow, cheese cake and cold stone. You rate very well =) What a fun time with family! Is this a major milestone of a birthday or normal celebration?
I am hoping that I did this thing right....I just tried to do the daybook thing. I still don't know if I linked it right. But, i am trying! :)
Loved all your pictures...looks like you had a wonderful birthday, I am so glad! You deserve it!
I haven't gotten that book in the mail yet this week...I have been side tracked by life...I'll get it there soon, I promise.
Have a beautiful day,
Joyce Marie
Hi Donna, thanks for your comment on my blog!
I do have a great relationship with my parents and I don't take it for granted either ... they only live about 5 minutes from my house. We have contemplated moving to another town, about 15 minutes away because it is closer to our church and homeschool group, but it is my parents who keep us where we are.
I enjoyed reading your daybook. What a great birthday celebration! I'd take that cheesecake any day! I think I'll leave your blog up and maybe drop a hint to for my husband for my next birthday!
Donna,
You look like you had a fabulous birthday! Your pictures made my mouth water! That cake looked so good. My husband received two gift certificates to Cold Stone Creamery and I have managed to loose both of them. It is a running joke in our house. I will not show him these pictures of what he is missing=)...
I can't believe it is curriculum time, also. Only two weeks until our Homeschool Convention. Wow! I can't even shift my mind into that gear, but I guess I'll have to.
Have a great week, my dear friend!
Blessings, Karen
Looks like a fun and festive birthday!
Best wishes, Kara (who hopped over here from the Simple Woman's Daybook)
