Thank you, dear blog friends, for all your kind comments yesterday. We all know that Diane is in Heaven, but we're still in a state of shock. Questions of "Why her, Lord?" and "Lord, what are you doing?" are running through my mind...but then statements of "Lord, You are in control" and "Lord, I will trust You" also run through my head...I guess it's pretty normal to have all these questions, and some of them I know will not be answered here on Earth.
The following verses are ones that are familiar to me. My Oldest Daughter is learning them in her Bible class, so every morning, she recites them and it's been a blessing to me. I'm amazed at how God knows exactly what we need, and how He uses His Word to comfort us.
I Thessalonians 4:13-18
13. But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope.
14. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him.
15. For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.
16. For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:
17. Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
18. Wherefore comfort one another with these words.
Today, I am abiding in God's unchanging, infallible, comforting Word!
On a side note, we were spending time together as a family yesterday, so I did not get to visit any of my favorite blogs...I have a lot of catching up to do today!

Hi Donna,
I just posted a book review on my blog. I thought of your beautiful kids as I was reading this book and thought perhaps that you might like it for future reference...look at the review and if it looks good to you...I'd like to give you my copy.
Blessings!

HI Donna,
I am sorry to hear about your friend. I will keep them in prayer. God's Word is what will bring comfort and peace to your heart! praying for you too.
It is hard to understand why these things happen. But praise God, we have His hope to cling to!
Have a great day, Donna. Enjoy your sweet family!
I am so sorry for you loss. Really sorry.
There are a million questions still running through my mind as I cope with the loss of my grandmother. I've started reading a book called Heaven by Randy Alcorn to help me find some more answers and to be able to help my children with their questions.
