Resurrection Rolls
crescent rolls~represents the cloth that Jesus was wrapped in
large marshmallows~represents Jesus
melted butter (about 1/2 cup)~respresents the oils of embalming
cinnamon/sugar mixture~represents the spices used to annoint the body of Jesus
350 degree oven~represents the tomb
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Give each child a triangle of the crescent roll and a large marshmallow.
- Dip the marshmallow in the melted butter.
- Then dip the buttered marshmallow in the cinnamon/sugar mixture.
- Completely cover the marshmallow with the crescent roll, so that the marshmallow is completely sealed.
- Place in the oven and bake for 10-12 minutes. (Pretend it is three days)
- When the rolls have cooled slightly, the children can open their rolls (representing the cloth) and discover that the marshmallow (representing Jesus) is no longer there! The marshmallows melt and the crescent roll is puffed up, but empty!

Thanks for being such a blessing to our kids, I think that the kids will enjoy this. I am thankful that they can see the Blessings/Fulfillment of Easter and for 2 of them the realization of the direct meaning through their personal acceptance of Jesus as Savior that they have received.

The Easter presentation this morning was wonderful (the video had me in tears...) and you did a great job. I heard several folks comment what a pleasant (sweet) voice you have...easy to understand and so nice to listen to!
